About Me
I am a life-long resident of Tillsonburg . I was educated at St. Mary's Elementary School and Glendale High School . After high school I went to work for my Dad at Van Rybroeck Aluminum . My wife ,Wanda, and I have been married 38 years and we have 2 children , Jacquie and Jeff, and 6 grandchildren . My kids are close by , Jacquie & her husband Steve are in Otterville and Jeff and his wife Katie are in Tillsonburg .
Our grand kids attend school in Tillsonburg , they go to daycare here, they play ball here and hockey . They take their swimming lessons here and use the waterpark and all the other great facilities we have at our disposal.
In 1996 my son Jeff came to work at Van Rybroeck Windows & Siding , making it a 3rd generation business originally established in 1963.
This community has served me well and I'm so proud to be a part of it. Community service on my part includes stints in the Tillsonburg Optimist Club and the Tillsonburg Rotary Club .

I appreciate any and all support. If You would like a sign posted on your lawn please give me a call at:

My Priorities
Jobs
The recent economic downturn has certainly cost us a great many jobs. Many of them well paying jobs. I believe we need to find ways to replace those jobs, ideally in green technologies or agri-business. Industries that are not cyclical . If we want our kids to stay here and raise their families here then we have to find ways to attract the types of industry that will provide the sustainable jobs they need.
Tillsonburg has a long history of being pro-active in this area
and I think we should once again strive to become more business friendly and make the experience as pleasant as possible for those interested in investing in our community.
Shopping
We need to find away to keep our shoppers in Tillsonburg.
The shortest route to a viable downtown core is to give shoppers what they want. If we can attract people to Tillsonburg every business will benefit. I have always advocated shopping locally at home and in business , but more & more the things we need just are not available. We need to change that. I remember as a kid working at Popham Shoes on Broadway. On Friday night the town was just a hive of activity. The sidewalks where full. I know shopping patterns have changed, but people are still shopping. We need to give them a viable alternative so they will be shopping here.
